The first Driving Sports event for the year drew a massive turn out, which I hope is a indication of more to come in 2012! It attracted one of the largest crowd’s we’ve seen in recent months and to no surprise, the majority of drifters during the night where Nissan’s.

The wet skip pan always encourages some very close tandem drifting, with Biggie in his 180sx, leading fellow Hit ‘n’ Run member through the last corner of the course.

Brett’s S14 “Reaper” is out in it’s new Black/Green livery. It’s seems to be shifting to be a much more “professional” looking car, as opposed to it’s street styled appearance a couple of months earlier.
Regardless, Reaper is showing Australia how a Silvia should be done. Rocking Kranze’s, BN, and a lumpy V8 with a killer ride height; it’s super sweet to the ears and eyes.

A interesting front end conversion.. Mate black 180sx with a S14 Kouki front.

A previous featured car by us; Bren’s WPNSTI was in attendance, soaking up the drifting action throughout the night. The car’s looking a little different from the last we’ve taken photos of it, and is now sporting XXR’s.

For this particular event, Driving Sports only opened up the Wet Skid Pan and Peanut track. These are considered to be one of their smaller events, and fill in the weeks between the bigger events where they open up the Main track.

Here’s a S13 making the most of what’s left of the tyres. You may be wondering why the left tyre has sparks and not both? Well, besides the S turn, and those who can link the straight, the majority of the corners in the peanut track is a right corner. This places alot of wear on the left tyre, causing it to wear out faster than the right.

Thanks to Eric for taking the photos of the Driving Sports event!
